| Our Masters and U23's put on a great racing weekend at Campbeltown with National Qualifiers Club Records and another serious medal haul: |  Win in the 100m by Dave Thomas | some of the highlights Pictured here an unexpected classic win in the 100m by Dave Thomas (..the only photo that worked from my camera!) Barry Willis had the hardest fought closest win of the meet in the 5000 with 17.30.72 over Illawong athlete 17.30.96...after leading the whole race Baz our white Kenyan managed to kick home by a nose!! Paul Carr was happy with his double hurdle gold 100m 17.09 & 400m 68.86 with Neil Fowler also taking gold in his 400m Hurdles. Roger Martin stole a sub 400m 59.07 from Peter Williams who ran well in everything even though his races were about every 20mins!! 1500m 5.16 800m 2.23 400m 1.00 200 and so on..Brett Reid vows to come back stronger next year. Stu Gyngell 3 gold weight shot and Discus and a silver in the hammer. | | Vicki Townsend and Allison Tucker contested multiple events with Vicki winning one of each colour medal in the first morning and then alot of 4ths!!. Allison got the double gold 100 13.76 and 200 28.58. Marg B just didnt have the finishing kick and took silver in the 1500 5.31. Martin Ayres suprised himself with a bronze in the 1500m 5.42.. |
